Applied Behavior Analysis for Autism

Compassionate ABA Therapy to Help Your Child Thrive

We create individualized Verbal Behavior programs for each child attending one-to-one therapy sessions for the treatment of Autism. Verbal Behavior Therapy is based on the theories of B.F. Skinner and program goals focus on communication, imitation and social skills. We conduct an initial assessment and create program goals utilizing the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP).

Below is a list of the categories of language we focus on:

  • Requesting wants and needs

  • Labeling

  • Listener Skills

  • Visual and Matching Skills

  • Independent Play Skills

  • Social Behavior and Social Play Skills

  • Motor Imitation (imitating gross and fine motor actions)

  • Listener Skills related to the Functions, Features & Classes of items

  • Intraverbal (completing fill-ins, answering “WH” questions)

  • Conversational Skills

  • Pre-Academic Skills

We also evaluate and teach self-help and functional living skills using a separate ABA therapy protocol appropriate for the child’s deficits. Problem behaviors are also formally identified and defined to create intervention procedures for reduction.

Our Autism treatment programs are administered in our center, in homes and in schools.
